DREAMS COMES TRUE’s “THE SOUL FOR THE PEOPLE” The Best Album
For Great East Japan Earthquake includes 12 songs for the hope, such as “Nandodemo”, “Sono Saki e”, “Nee”, “Sora wo Yomu”, and “Asa ga Mata Kuru”, which is played the most on Radio after the earthquake.
The Album is release both by the digital music and CD package. The profits (Royalties on writing songs and lyrics, and singing) will be donated for people in disaster areas through Japanese Red Cross.
“After March 11th, we have been thinking what we could do at individual levels, and we have attempted in our ways. Miwa Yoshida and I are not the exception. What can we do as musicians? At the end, we decided to release this best album. The reason why we decided to take the way to donate the artist profit in this way is because we wanted to build a system to support people and communities in disaster areas for a long-term. The good thing of CD is that it is sold at CD shops for a long time, and users can see and grab them anytime. I hope we will keep supporting by connecting the listeners and the people at the disaster areas mentally in and economically through this album. (Masato Nakamura)
The one who support is not an artist, but the listeners. Nakamura says “We just help to collect the financial source as widely as possible by setting up a window called a CD. We used a word, PEOPLE, as the title because we want to connect each people in a real life rather than connect a country which is abstract.
“We don’t have a lot of choices, and what we can do by music is limited, so we don’t have much exception in it that courage or send message to them, however we just want to believe that people can share something through music. We chose these 12 songs with our little hope. We are happy as musicians if Miwa Yoshida’s songs and words trigger people to feel small light, and keep up under the disaster.
