The Los Angeles Dodgers held their annual Photo Day at Dodger Stadium on April 18th.
This free event has given fans the opportunity to meet and take pictures with their favorite Dodger players now for over 20 years. There were approximately 6000 people in attendance for this year.
One of the many players who took part in this event was second year pitcher, Hiroki Kuroda.
Kuroda had talked about wanting to get to know the fans better at last year’s Photo Day.
After his clutch performance down the stretch last year, Kuroda has become a household name for Dodger fans. This was no different at this year’s Photo Day where many fans would call out Kuroda’s name to greet the pitcher.
In what was supposed to be a photo-only event, Kuroda could be seen walking around the field signing many autographs.
Another very interesting scene was of Kuroda frequently stepping over the ropes to meet with the fans.
Kuroda, himself, said that he was very satisfied that the fans had come to recognize him as part of the Dodger community.
Meanwhile, Kuroda suffered some lingering soreness after his bullpen session at Houston, and he returned to Los Angeles to get his oblique reexamined.
It appears that Kuroda will be missing some more time with his left oblique strain.
