A young couple from the Yagisawa family—a traditional hops-farming family in Kami-Furano, Hokkaido—appears in a TV ad for a new beer product. It turns out that the couple is about to give up the family business. This revelation creates a rift between father and son, and reveals hidden turmoil between the mother-in-law and young wife. The three-generation family begins to fall apart. Can they reunite and bring peace back to the house? Will it be the end of another traditional brewery? Set in the vast fields of Kami-Furano, this heart-warming, comical drama deals with contemporary issues facing the agricultural industry, including the issue of succession, troubles between wives and mothers-in-law, and weakening family ties.
