"Sorapuchi" tells the story of one boy's first steps towards adulthood amidst the grand scenery of Takikawa, Hokkaido. The "Solar Kids' Camp" aims to provide camps with medical facilities for kids struggling with serious diseases. Nobuo, a high school senior, attends the trial camp for a second time. He wants to be a doctor and hopes to gain valuable experience at the camp. Secretly, he has also fallen in love with Natsumi, a camp volunteer. Although he is a pediatric cancer survivor, Nobuo still suffers from after-effects of the disease. Unsure of himself, he distances himself from others. Nobuo's more confident peer, Masahiko, senses Nobuo's bitterness and urges him to talk to Natsumi. After one too many comments, Nobuo snaps, and an impulsive punch causes unexpected trouble...
